On the heels of the creative new Bare Escentuals BareSkin Perfecting Face Brush, we have another new shape on the market:
Estee Lauder’s new Sculpting Foundation Brush 2 has a bit of a sickle-like shape that is longer on one side and shorter on the other and hugs the contours of the face.
This brush hasn’t been out for long, so there aren’t too many reviews.
But a few prominent bloggers have some thoughts:
The Non-Blonde says it’s a “great brush” but didn’t seem blown away. She wrote: “I do feel that this brush performs better with the thinnest and lightest formulas (as well as for applying a face primer), while thicker/creamier foundations often require a bit more flexibility from the brush.”
Dustin Hunter also said he appreciates the brush’s flexibility and has been experimenting with new ways to use it.
Beauty 411 also likes the brush, proclaiming “It really works” in terms of hugging the shape of the face. Ultimately, it seems like a time-saver since you can do large graceful sweeps of the face without constantly adjusting your brush stroke to fit the contour.
