Just Sayin’ – A Tough Review of Those $$$ Wayne Goss Brushes

Share

First of all, we’d like to say THANK YOU! to Cora at Vintage or Tacky!

The initial launch set of Wayne Goss brushes has been hard to come by, since Beautylish was taking advance orders for a long time. And then there’s also that issue of the steep ($210 for eight brushes) price tag … But Cora got her hands on one and posted a very earnest review, which you can see below here …

A few notes: Cora notes the lack of a powder brush in the set, but if you watch Wayne Goss reviews you’ll know that he doesn’t really recommend using conventional powder brushes. Second, we could tell that the Goss No. 1 brush is very, very similar to the Shiseido Perfect Foundation brush, which we also find too darn small … so, um, yeah, on that … Who has that much time to apply foundation?

Thanks for posting this video. I have the Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush (which is why I didn’t purchase WG’s #1 brush), and I don’t find that it takes a long time to apply a full-face of foundation with it. I use the brush to dot my face with foundation and use a dragging motion with the brush over my face, with a stippling/buffing motion over areas that need more coverage. I don’t find that using the brush takes any more time than using a Beauty Blender (my other preferred method of foundation application).
